Explosion of Liberty

This Website showcases a number of musical works written, played, orchestrated, conducted and produced by Craig Smith and Martin Ashdown.

 

Some tracks are concerted attempts at orchestral writing, whilst others are adventures into different genres. This represents a small part of their arsenal of weaponry.

 

Craig and Martin are unashamed themists, their musical philosophy is founded on the notion that the audience must walk away from a performance whistling a tune and the music must be evocative. Their main creative principles are: Melody, Harmony, Simplicity, Continuity, Momentum & Virtuosity.

 

Although Craig and Martin write, play and produce music largely to amuse themselves, they have been commissioned to write for film and television and are interested to profit not only spiritually, but also materially from their creativity.
